This
is the initial fight test and the most common.
The weapon systems used for this test are:

This
is the minimum professional BADC grading. Most UK Drama School Students
are examined at this level.
Passing
this test allows the candidate to move on to higher levels, and
become a classroom assistant to a fight teacher, at the teacher's

is another test graded at Basic level.

This
optional level allows gives the actor an opportunity to broaden
their experience with heavier weapon systems.
Drama
schools are offering this exam more and more to their students,
since they do not always have time to prepare them for the Level
3 exam. |

3 (Advanced)
Usually
indertaken upon completion of Level 2.
However,
upon successful completion of Level 1 with a high medal (silver
standard or above) it is quite possible to undertake Level 3 training.

The
student is examined in five weapon systems, from the Advanced BADC
syllabus.
It
is inevitable that some of the weapon systems used will overlap
with those already tested.
Students can split the test over more than one date. |

Passing
this test allows the candidate to become an Apprentice to a Fight
Teacher, the first part of the training for becoming a Fight Teacher/Fight

NOTE:
The BADC foundation exam is not a professional grading. |
The
fifth certificate is a Foundation exam. This is the BADC's Junior
Exam and was initially designed for students 16-18 years old.
Foundation
exams require one weapon system and one unarmed fight. Dialogue
is optional. |
